Local tattoo artist charged in drug case

Jonesville Police Chief Roger Reece reports that 9.5 ounces of marijuana were recovered from Cameron Lee Horton’s vehicle.

JONESVILLE — Cameron Lee Horton, owner and artist of Mixed Ink Tattoo Parlor in Jonesville, was arrested just outside of D-Rex Pharmacy Tuesday around 7 a.m. for possession with intent to sell and deliver, maintaining a drug vehicle and paraphernalia.

“We encountered him just outside the pharmacy when we noticed the strong odor of marijuana coming from his car, prompting us to investigate,” said Jonesville Chief of Police Roger Reece. “When we searched the vehicle, we found nine and a half ounces of marijuana and a firearm.”

Horton has been charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor. He has been arrested with a bond for $15,000. He has a court date of July 6 in Yadkin County Court.
