• 6:30 p.m. General Surry Republican Party Meeting will be at The Depot 112 Old Depot Lane, Dobson. Meeting will be in the room to the right after entering the restaurant. Everyone who wants to eat is encouraged to come early and eat before the meeting starts. Speakers will be US Senate candidate Mark Harris of Charlotte, Commissioner Jimmy Miller and a 6th District GOP Chairman, AJ Daoud, Everyone is invited to come and bring a friend.

Elkin VFW Post 7794 and Yadkin VFW Post 10346 will distribute Buddy Poppies at the Elkin Wal-Mart. WFW Members will be on site each day.
