There will be a benefit pinto bean supper and cake auction for Lorie Reavis at the Traphill Fire Department on Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. Keep Lorie and her family in your prayers and thoughts.
The Primitive Quartet will be in concert at Old Roaring River Baptist Church on Saturday at 6 p.m. The church doors will open at 5 p.m. A love offering will be taken. Pastor Jim Rhoades invites everyone to worship with them.
There will be a benefit horseback ride for Joey Hudspeth on Saturday with all proceeds going toward funeral expenses. Camping will be available on Friday and Saturday. The ride begins at 10 a.m. near the intersection at HG Greene Store in Ronda. Watch for signs to find the exact location. The fee is $10 per horse and $7 for a BBQ plate.
Yale Huie will be preaching at Garden Creek Baptist Church on Sunday at 9 a.m. Everyone is invited to worship in this historic church in the Stone Mountain State Park. Campers are welcome to come as they are. This begins the winter season when there will only be service once a month on the first Sunday of the month until next May.
You can find Port-A-Pit BBQ chicken at the Thurmond Grocery Story on Saturday sponsored by the ladies of White Rock United Methodist Church. Plates are $8.50 and a half chicken is $6.
Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church on the Traphill Road will have revival Nov. 4-8 at 7 p.my. Jeremy Simpson will be the guest speaker for the week. Pastor Ritchie Harris and the congregation invite you to worship with them.
“Beyond the Blue” will be in concert at Old Roaring River Baptist Church on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. Pastor Jim Rhoades invites everyone to join in this special service.

Traphill had a low temperature of 27.5 degrees on Oct. 26 and a high temperature of 71.4 degrees on Oct. 27. There was no rain except a few sprinkles during the week of Oct. 21-27.
