Song honored by downtown group


The Elkin Downtown Business Association presents Connie Song, owner of Song’s Jewelry, with a certificate of appreciation for her years of service Thursday during the group’s meeting. Song has decided to retire and will be closing her shop at the end of May. At the presentation were, from left, Jennifer Blackburn with YadkinBank, Secretary Vicky Roberts of Prism Medical Products, Song, President Larry Irwin of Elk Pharmacy, Myra Combs with the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce, Vice President Cicely McCulloch with The Liberty and Angry Trolls Brewing. Song was long-time treasurer of the group, and LeeAnn Payne at Christopher Kemp CPA will be the new treasurer.
