NORTH WILKESBORO — Following a unanimous vote of its board of directors, Window World, America’s largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, named Steven Kamody as its new president, effective immediately.

“Steve’s knowledge and passion for Window World make him a true asset and an ideal fit for the role of president,” said Tammy Whitworth, chairman and CEO of Window World. “We look forward to his leadership and contributions to our continued growth and evolution.”

Kamody brings more than 20 years of industry experience to his new role, having most recently served as Window World’s vice president of sales. In this capacity, Kamody oversaw the sales of the organization’s more than 200 locations nationwide. As president, he will continue to work hand-in-hand with store owners to deliver industry-leading results and the high-quality service Window World customers have come to expect.

“Over the past several years, I’ve had the unique opportunity to serve stores and work closely with Window World owners in a variety of capacities,” said Kamody. “I look forward to building on those relationships in my new role. It is an honor to serve as president of America’s largest exterior remodeling company, and I am extremely optimistic about our future.”

Prior to officially joining Window World, during his time as national sales manager with Paragon Door Designs, Kamody was an integral part of Window World’s launch of its first entry door program. Additionally, while serving as a regional vice president at American WeatherSeal, Kamody was directly involved in the window program for Window World. Kamody holds a master’s degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University, both in Ohio.

Window World also announced the sale of its 1,000,000th window for 2015 in early October. Although this is the seventh consecutive year Window World reached this sales milestone, the company has never attained the mark so early in a calendar year.

“Surpassing this annual goal sooner in the year is a true result of our commitment to homeowners across the country,” said Whitworth. “I am very proud of the entire Window World Family for hitting this milestone, and look forward to accomplishing this objective even earlier in 2016.”

This landmark is the latest in a number of sales achievements and industry accolades that Window World secured in 2015. The organization was ranked No. 1 Replacement Contractor in Remodeling magazine’s Top 550 for the seventh year in a row and named No. 1 Window Company in Qualified Remodeler’s annual Top 500 for the ninth consecutive year, all due to the hard work and dedication of its more than 200 locations nationwide. In addition, thanks to the integrity of the products and services it offers, Window World proudly announced its windows earned the Good Housekeeping Seal for the eighth year running.
