Mr. and Mrs. Terry Carter of Ronda and Mr. and Mrs. Brad Phillips of Raleigh announce the engagement of their daughter, Kendra Faye Carter, to Joshua Harold Longworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Longworth of Elkin.
An engagement party was held at The Speaks Farm in Traphill on May 31 in celebration of the happy couple. The party was given by the future bride’s aunts, Nita Carter, Teresa Wood, Star Wood, Sharon Speaks, Debbie Peel and the couple’s parents. The music was provided by BackPorch Bluegrass of Wilkes County, and photography by Melissa Hill Photography of Knoxville, Tennessee.
The future bride graduated from Peace College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and a Master of Arts degree in management and leadership from Liberty University. She is employed as a senior account manager at In10sity Interactive in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
The future groom received a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University College of Engineering. He is employed as a senior mechanical engineer in the Machinery and Tools Division at DENSO Manufacturing, Inc. in Maryville, Tennessee.
A September 2014 wedding is planned at Leatherwood Mountains in Ferguson. The couple will reside in Tennessee.
