The Elkin Police Department has reported the following incidents and arrests:

• Heather Michele Millan, 36, of Carter Mill Road, Elkin, was charged on March 30 with misdemeanor school attendance law violation. No bond was given, and she was given a court date of April 15.

• Nathan Charles Brown, 40, of Armory Road, North Wilkesboro, was charged on March 30 with two counts of felony burglary-forcible entry, two counts of felony larceny after breaking and/or entering, three counts of misdemeanor larceny. All charges were on outstanding warrants from Wilkes County. He was given a $5,000 unsecured bond and a court date in Wilkes of July 6.

• An incident of trespassing was reported on March 29 at a residence on Riverwood Drive, Elkin, during which the property owner reported three females and a male were fishing on her property without permission. The property owner was told to send a certified letter to those she wished not to be on her property and to file a copy with the police department.

• A Pinnacle resident reported being assaulted on March 29 while walking on the sidewalk along CC Camp Road in Elkin. He told officers he could identify two of his alleged attackers, a male and a female. He was told if he wanted to press charges to speak with a magistrate.

• Larceny and concealment of merchandise was reported on March 27 at Walmart on CC Camp Road, Elkin. Walmart employees reported a male person, identified as Marty Allen Gray, 41, of Old Sparks Road, Hamptonville, riding a mart cart and being unruly, according to the incident report. After investigating, officers located two bottles of Robitussen concealed in the suspects pants, but Walmart employees did not decide to charge him at the time. The employees “were more concerned about getting the subject to leave rather than the larceny,” due to his alleged unruly actions.

• A civil disturbance incident was reported on April 2 at Ivy Ridge Traditions, West Main Street, Elkin. According to the report, Allison Snow Eller of Elkin brought three coupons to the store to use, and she was told she could just use one. The North Wilkesboro resident at the register said she thought Eller was going to hit her, and she banned Eller from the Elkin and North Wilkesboro stories, according to the report.

• Sydney Brooke Leftwich, 22, of Rawley Avenue, Mount Airy, was charged on April 2 with misdemeanor concealment of merchandise following an incident at Belk on North Bridge Street, Elkin. According to Belk employees, they watched Leftwich conceal two rings and two necklaces worth $120. When running a search for warrants on Leftwich, Elkin officers discovered one outstanding failure to appear warrant for concealment of merchandise. She was given a preset cash bond of $300 and a court date of May 10.

• Vernon Dale Judkins, 29, of Govners Lane, Yadkinville, was charged on April 3 with misdemeanor hit and run and misdemeanor all traffic except DWI. The case for the hit and run occurred on April 1 involving damage to a 2016 Toyota Highlander. He was released on a written promise and a court date of April 21. The charges came after a civil disturbance was reported on April 1 in the parking lot of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital when two people, one being Judkins, were arguing over permission to drive a car. Judkins admitted to driving the vehicle and it being involved in an accident at Lowe’s.

• Adam Lee Dancy, 37, of New Brickyard Road, North Wilkesboro, was charged on April 5 with misdemeanor all other larceny and misdemeanor possessing/concealing stolen property. Personnel at Belk reported the incident and officers stopped Dancy’s vehicle and escorted him back to Belk, where he reported removed all concealed clothing from underneath the clothes he was wearing. He was banned from Belk, and released with a court date of May 2.

• Devin Earl Mounce, 22, of Harris Avenue, Elkin, was charged on April 6 with misdemeanor contempt of court perjury court violations on a failure to appear warrant on a driving while license revoked charge. He had a preset $300 cash bond, and a court date of April 21.

• An incident of injury to personal property was reported on April 7 when the wind allegedly blew a car door into another one at the Sheetz gas station pumps. Damage of $10 was done to one of the car doors.

• James Henry Lineback, 24, of Bryant Road, Mount Airy, was charged on April 9 with misdemeanor shoplifting after an incident at Walmart on CC Camp Road, Elkin, when employees reported seeing Lineback conceal canned air. After being issued a citation, officers discovered an outstanding felony probation violation on Lineback. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and given a court date of June 19.

• Travis Donald Thompson, 48, of Oak Grove Road, Elkin, was charged on April 10 with misdemeanor shoplifting and misdemeanor possessing/concealing equipment/paraphernalia, following a reported possible impaired driver at Food Lion. The driver of the vehicle was not found to be impaired, but as officers were talking with the driver, Thompson reportedly left the store with a manager following him. Employees reported he concealed a toothbrush, and during a search, officers also discovered a bottle of aspirin and a used needle. After being given a court date of May 26, he was released from custody.

• Justin Randall Harvey, 26, of Happy Lane, Dobson, was charged on April 10 with felony all other larceny and misdemeanor shoplifting following an incident at Walmart, CC Camp Road, Elkin. According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the store for a fight in progress involving a knife. Store employees reported Harvey had taken items from the store and when being stopped by employees, he started fighting with them. Upon a search, officers reported locating two SD cards and a pair of gloves. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a court date of June 8.

• Matthew Brian Anderson, 31, of Clingman Road, Ronda, was charged on April 11 with misdemeanor contempt of court perjury court violations. He had a preset bond of $1,033. No court date was reported.

• A call for service was reported on April 12 in response to a verbal argument at a home on Reeves Lane, Elkin. After officers arrived, the property owner asked the others on the scene to leave. The case was closed.

• Sarah Annette Prevette, 51, of Poplar Springs Road, Roaring River, was charged on April 12 with misdemeanor contempt of court perjury court violations out of Iredell County. The charges were served following a traffic stop for reportedly speeding. She was given a $500 unsecured bond and a court date in Iredell of May 5.

• William Edward Taylor, 30, of North Mineral Springs Drive, Jonesville, was charged on April 13 with felony parole and probation violations in Yadkin, misdemeanor parole and probation violations in Yadkin, misdemeanor contempt of court perjury court violations in Surry, misdemeanor operate vehicle with no financial responsibility in Wilkes and misdemeanor fictitious, cancelled or revoked registration card/license plate in Wilkes. He was given a $2,250.75 cash bond and a $1,250 secured bond and a court date in Surry of April 21.

• Rodney Lee Lowe, 25, of Bruno Lane, Boomer, was charged on April 13 with misdemeanor larceny following an incident at Walmart, CC Camp Road, Elkin. He allegedly attempted to steal a USB adapter, an LG UBS plug and a Survivor phone case, according to store employees, with items totaling $72.96. After being charged, he was released on a written bond and given a court date of June 17.

• Misty Dawn Rosales, 39, of Mountain Valley Drive, Traphill, was cited on April 5 with driving while license revoked. Her court date is April 28.

• Miranda Kelle McCormick, 20, of Barksdale Boulevard, Barksdale, Louisiana, was cited on April 5 with driving without having a registered vehicle. Her court date is May 16.

• A fighting incident was reported on April 16 at Sheetz on CC Camp Road, Elkin, when two females reportedly admitted to hitting each other. Neither wished to press charges, so the case was closed.

• Michael Ryan Sizemore, 28, of Highland Avenue, Elkin, was charged on April 16 with contempt of court perjury court violations. He was given a $300 cash bond. No court date was reported.

• Jose Valdome Ruiz, 70, of North Bridge Street, Elkin, was cited with traveling 55 mph in a 35 mph zone and driving without being licensed as a driver. He was given a court date of June 6.

• Shara Lynn Pritchard, 29, of Lewis Drive, Elkin, was charged on April 17 with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges came after a report of possible drug exchange at West Elkin Baptist Church parking lot. No drugs were located during a search, but paraphernalia was found. She was released with a court date of June 6.
