Four Elkin residents have been received additional charges following the execution of a warrant in a theft-related case, according to the Elkin Police Department.
On March 2, the Elkin Police Department executed the search warrant at 225 Pegram St. in Elkin. During the search of the residence, many stolen items were seized, along with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, according to a release on the incident. Jonesville Police Department and Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search.
The search warrant was the result of many months of investigation into breaking and entering of residences in the area. The property recovered helped to clear up many reported thefts, not only in Elkin, but also in Jonesville and Wilkes and Yadkin counties. Victims are being located and property is being returned to the victims.
Initial and new charges, as of Tuesday, include:
• Letonya Ann Sidden, 40, Elkin, felony breaking and or entering, felony larceny after break/enter, misdemeanor possess marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession schedule II controlled substance; misdemeanor possession schedule IV controlled substance, felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony possession of stolen property – 15 counts.
• Guillermo Rodriguez, 47, Elkin, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of stolen property, misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of schedule IV controlled substance, felony possession of stolen property – 15 counts.
• Christopher Blaine Settle, 24, Elkin, two couts of felony break/enter, two counts felony larceny after break/enter, misdemeanor possession of stolen property, felony possession of stolen property – 15 counts.
• Ashley Nicole Speer, 21, Elkin, felony break/enter, felony larceny after break/enter, misdemeanor possession of stolen property, felony possession of stolen property – 15 counts, misdemeanor operate a vehicle with no insurance, misdemeanor no operators license.
