Parking time limit enforceable

Seth Marion of Tri-County Awards and Signs in Jonesville installs a three-hour parking sign along Main Street in Elkin Friday morning. Now that the signs have been installed town officials are able to enforce the ordinance which was adopted in November 2015 which limits curbside parking through downtown on East and West Main Street, Church Street from Main to Market, and Court Street. Civil fines and penalties now can be enforced for those not adhering to the three-hour limit, which is applicable Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
