Lynn Trivette, Jonesville’s town clerk, has been elected an officer of the N.C. Association of Municipal Clerks.
Trivette was sworn in as the director for District 10 at the association’s annual meeting at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham recently. This is her second term as director for the district.
Trivette was also recognized at last Monday night’s Town Council meeting for achieving designation as a North Carolina Certified Municipal Clerk. Town Councilman Wayne Moore brought up her achievement during the meeting, and the other council members and Town Manager Scott Buffkin joined him in congratulating her.
In a letter notifying Trivette of the designation, Stephanie C. Kelly, president of the N.C. Association of Municipal Clerks, wrote: “This achievement is a reflection of your commitment to your career, local government and the community in which you serve. It exemplifies your dedication and desire for personal growth and continuous enrichment of your professional knowledge and skills.”
Trivette, who has been town clerk for almost nine years, is currently working on her N.C. Association of Municipal Clerks master’s clerk certification.
