DOBSON — The chapters of the 19th District of the Eastern Star in NC have donated $1,425 to the Woltz Hospice Home to support the mission of Mountain Valley Hospice. Part of the gift included an 8-by-8-inch granite block that will be a permanent fixture of Lining the Pathway project the Woltz Home.
This is a special place where visitors can honor a loved one, past or present, said Sheila Jones, director of Marketing at Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care. “The generous donation by the Eastern Star will help bring awareness and honor in the garden while also help provide personalized end-of-life care at the Woltz Hospice Home or to someone that may not have insurance.”
“We have heard so many wonderful stories and testimonials from our members about what a wonderful job Mountain Valley Hospice does for patients and families. We just had to help,” said Nadine Anthony, district deputy grand matron of the 19th District. “Our district chapters in Surry County (Copeland, Mount Airy, Pilot Mountain, Round Peak) Wilkes County (Mount Pleasant, Wilkes) and Yadkin County (Yadkin) are happy we could help in providing such quality hospice care.”
