Afterward, he attended Appalachian State University in Boone, earning a bachelor’s degree in history, secondary education in 2003. In 2013, he returned to school at Gardner-Webb University and earned a master’s in executive leadership.
“I am excited to join the wonderful team of educators at Elkin City Schools and Elkin Elementary School,” Webb said. “It is my honor and privilege to serve the students and community of Elkin.
“I look forward to working with all of the Elkin City Schools’ staff, students and parents in order to continue the longstanding tradition of excellence for which Elkin City Schools is known.”
Webb, who is married and has a 2-year-old daughter, will begin his new role in August. He said he is excited about beginning his new life in the Elkin City Schools and is looking forward to getting to know everyone.
Elkin City Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Bledsoe said, “Our assistant principal search team involving Pam Colbert, Elkin Elementary principal, and various teachers at the elementary school were truly impressed by his experience, his work in the curriculum and his focus on the importance of family and community.
