State Road author spins country and city tale in new juvenile fiction

STATE ROAD — This week marks the nationwide release of “City Deer, Country Deer,” an engrossing and adventurous new children’s book by author Shirley Collins.

In “City Deer, Country Deer,” the readers will have fun exploring the city and the country through the eyes of young animals who love the places they are born in. Follow the lives of these two young deer, Oakley and Serenity, and the dangers and joys they face on their journey through life.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Collins has been blessed to be the mother of two wonderful daughters, Leah and Miranda, and to watch them grow into lovely young women. It is truly a wonder to watch children grow and with the difficulties they face in this world, she is thankful to God each day for his love and protection. The author dedicates this book to her daughters.
