Painting classes to start in January in Pilot and Elkin


DOBSON — Want to learn or improve artistic painting skills? New painting classes will start soon in Pilot Mountain and The Elkin Center.

Oil Painting Classes will allow students to paint their masterpiece using oils on canvas whether it is landscapes, portraits, or still life. This class is suitable for all skill levels. Classes will be held at the Charles Stone Library in Pilot Mountain. Three schedules to choose from: Tuesdays (Jan. 5- March 8) 6 to 9 p.m.; Wednesdays (Jan. 6-March 9) 9 a.m. to noon; or Thursdays (Jan. 7-March 10) 9 a.m. to noon.

Painting Classes allow students to pursue their passion for painting or learn something new. Students will learn techniques for painting with watercolor, acrylic, and oil paints. Individual and group instruction will be given. This class is suitable for all levels. Call for supply list. The class will be held on Tuesdays, Jan. 12 through March 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Elkin Center, 1461 N. Bridge St., Elkin.
