Boonville author expounds on the Bible’s existence in new religious book

BOONVILLE — This week marks the nationwide release of author Shawn Gibson’s informative, new religious book, “Did God Really Say That?: A Summary of the Evidence Supporting the Divine Origin of the Bible and the Existence of God.”

“Did God Really Say That?” asks its readers the question: Where is the evidence? How can Christians be confident that the Bible is the only true “holy book” from God? Hasn’t archaeology proved that the Bible has been changed and corrupted over the centuries? Hasn’t science proved that the Bible is just a bunch of legends and fairy tales? Doesn’t evolution disprove the Bible? Gibson’s enlightening book will open the minds of readers to existing evidence that will answer these questions.

“Did God Really Say That?” presents an entertaining and understandable summary of the Bible’s incredible record of historical, prophetic and scientific accuracy that no other “holy book” can match.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Gibson received Christ as his savior over 50 years ago, and he has since been a serious student of the Bible. He has served as a senior pastor for seven years, a Church elder, and a Bible teacher, who served in various capacities in a number of churches. Aside from that he also taught and developed the curriculum for a systematic theology course for an extension campus of Calvary Chapel Bible College.

Gibson has worked with several denominational and independent churches, which exposed him to different Christian belief systems. This has given him a unique, grassroots perspective on the diverse doctrines and practices of churches in the body of Christ as a whole.
