DOBSON — Thirty-eight children ages 3 to 6 recently attended Super Hero Training day camp at Surry Community College where campers learned how to channel their inner super hero and discover their very own super powers.

Participants created their own cape and mask and used their super powers to fight off villains through a variety of activities. Throughout the camp, children learned how to work together as a team and unite their forces for good.

Kasey Martin, coordinator of Student and Community Engagement at Surry Community College, reports that the camp was so popular, and the waiting list so long this year, that she is planning a larger camp next year.

“I had a blast with the campers and cannot wait to see their super faces again next summer!” said Martin.
