WILKESBORO — The Wilkes County High School Theatre Department is presenting “Robin Hood,” Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. at Stone Center for the Performing Arts, 613 Cherry St., North Wilkesboro.
This Robin Hood origin story has all the swashbuckling, romance, and adventure one would expect. When young Robin of Locksley is branded an outlaw for poaching one of the sheriff’s deer, he flees to Sherwood Forest and organizes the world’s first band of philanthropic thieves. But as the people of Nottingham are taxed into poverty, Robin must decide whether he’s a prankster or a hero.
“Robin Hood” is directed by Wes Martin and stars Krissey Browder as Robin Hood, Sierra Worley as Maid Marian and Marshall Brooks as the Sherriff of Nottingham. Costumes are by Delaney Jolly with stage managers Makala Mullis, Katlyn Coleman and Rosalee Reavis.
Shows are only $5 per person and kids 5 years and younger get in free.
