Julie Lynn Pearson and Timothy Michael Reidy exchanged vows Aug. 22 on the banks of the Nenana River near Denali National Park, Alaska.
The wedding guests strolled down “Our Love Story” trail lined with flowers and mementos on the way to the river venue. The wedding party arrived by raft to the ceremony. Al Cochman, friend of the groom, officiated.
The bridesmaids wore ruby red infinity dresses. The groomsmen wore red and blue flannel shirts with blue suspenders and Carhartt brown pants.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Brenda Pearson of Jonesville. She is the granddaughter of Rebecca Hobgood and the late Robert Hobgood of Pensacola, Florida, and Hal Pearson and the late Ruth Pearson of Lakewood, Washington. The bride is a graduate of Elkin High School and Western Carolina University. She is employed by the Denali Education Center.
The groom is the son of John and Lorraine Reidy of Trenton, Michigan. He is the grandson of Mary Reidy and the late John Reidy of Wyandotte, Michigan, and Jeannie Larch and the late Ivan Larch of Riverview, Michigan. The groom is a graduate of Ferris State University. He is employed by the Denali Outdoor Center.
Lisa Hagen, Bozeman, Montana, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cassie Slentz of Gunnison, Colorado; Rebecca Brandau of Leadville, Colorado; Sarah Mansell of Healy, Alaska; Nicole Reidy of Trenton, Michigan; and Theresa Reidy of Trenton, Michigan.
Joseph Reidy, cousin of the groom, Chicago, Illinois, served as best man. The groomsmen were Jared Bryll of Chicago; Dave Wernet of Denali National Park, Alaska; Pat Mech of Denver, Colorado; P.J. Fishwick of Chicago; and Scott Patridge of Talketna, Alaska.
The ceremony was followed by a reception held at Tonglen Lake Lodge with special entertainment provided by the Denali Cooks Band.
After a honeymoon in Thailand, the couple will reside in Girdwood, Alaska.
