JONESVILLE — This Saturday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Victory Pre-Owned Toyota in Jonesville is teaming up with the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce to host a toy drive.

The donations will go to help provide local children with Christmas toys.

“The chamber started our toy drive started about two weeks ago. We sent out requests to our members. We have so many children in need,” said Misty Matthews of the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The car dealership wanted to help. Since the chamber is closed on Saturday’s and the car dealership is open, the weekend hours may prove to be beneficial to families who are able to donate toys.

According to the car dealership, their participation in the toy drive will be held each Saturday until mid-December.

“We’re giving out free hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch,” said Jeremy Troutman, general sales manager for the dealership.

“If you drop off an unwrapped toy, we’ll make sure you can get a free car wash,” he said.

This is the first ever toy drive sponsored by the dealership who indicated they wanted to do all they can to help needy kids.

Victory Pre-Owned Toyota is located at 570 Winston Road.
