JONESVILLE — Jonesville’s town hall will be the setting for a privately sponsored candidate forum Monday.

The forum will be hosted by David Henderson of Davhenco, Inc. in Jonesville. It will be held in the main boardroom of the town hall from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Town commissioner and mayoral candidates for Jonesville’s Nov. 5 election will answer questions submitted from the audience.

All questions will be submitted in writing to moderator Danny Macemore, who will then ask candidates the questions. If a question is deemed inappropriate, Macemore has the reserved right to not ask it.

Questions in writing will be accepted throughout the hour-long forum.

Henderson said all of the candidates are scheduled to appear except for Tommy Casstevens, who will be unable to attend.

Monday’s forum was scheduled after the October monthly town hall meeting was rescheduled to the following week. That meeting was changed due to a scheduling conflict but town business will proceed as normal on Oct. 21.

Henderson’s Davhenco, Inc. is a restoration and remediation service company located at 110 Hall St. in Jonesville. It handles fire and smoke damage, trauma and crime scene cleanup, water extraction, mold remediation, odor control and more. The company has been in operation since 1985 and serves the North Carolina and Virginia areas.

Henderson said he sponsored a similar forum 20 years ago and was approached by the Jonesville Business Association about holding another.
