Dine Out for the Fund made its way last Thursday to Speedy Chef in Elkin. A portion of the proceeds were given to the Yadkin Valley United Fund in efforts to help boost the organization closer to reaching fundraising goals.

The EHS Interact Club also presented the United Fund with a donation of $319.87.

“It has been very rewarding for myself and the Interact Club to work with the YVUF,” said EHS Interact Club president Courtney Beals. “They do so much for the community and the United Fund exemplifies everything that we as a club aim to represent. The EHS Interact Club is always jumping at any opportunity to provide to the local community and Missy Loving has given us ample opportunities.”

Missy Loving, executive director for the Yadkin Valley United Fund, said the dine out’s are a vital way for the charity to reach its goal of $145,000.

“We are so grateful for the members of the EHS Interact club for their leadership and character. They are a true example of how community, caring and commitment come together,” said Loving.

According to the YVUF website, the charity has raised $18,000 toward its goal.
