Familiar faces and places around Elkin fill the glossy pages of the August issue of Our State magazine.

“In the heart of wine country, a little, old town ages into a dynamic place that stands on the edge of miraculous,” writer for Our State Magazine, Leigh Ann Henion, writes of Elkin.

Each month about 15,000 subscribers receive Our State Magazine, and each month a North Carolina town is featured in the magazine’s “Tar Heel Town” section.

This issue’s “Tar Heel Town” is Elkin.

The section explores the charms of Elkin in a six page spread of color photographs and content to be proud of. Included in the feature is information on Elkin’s historic downtown, the Liberty Warehouse, Harry’s Place, Twenty One and Main, local vineyards, and the Yadkin Valley Wine Festival, to name a few.

Dianna’s Bookstore will have extra copies of Our State’s August issue for all proud Elkinites to purchase.
